I am not Christian.

NFTibet MINT I’m not christian.
8th serie, 1/600.

‘I’m Not Christian’ is the eighth piece in the Full Moon collection and was created by Lama Tashi Norbu on the full moon of’August 11th, 2022. This piece is a stunning and thought-provoking work of art that seamlessly blends traditional and contemporary styles, serving as a visual representation of the inner child or inner Buddhas. The artwork features flying Tibetan monks performing miracles and confessing to the Buddha, serving as a reminder of the universality of human experience. Lama Tashi Norbu’s unique perspective as a Tibetan monk living in the Western world imbues the artwork with a sense of cultural fusion and universality.
‘I’m Not Christian’ was first showcased at the prestigious What Is Happening Here (WIHH) gallery, housed in the old ABN AMRO bank in the heart of the art district. The bank, which was once the bank with the personal vault of the Queen of Holland, served as a fitting location for the debut of Lama Tashi Norbu’s first three NFTs, symbolizing the value and respect for this new art form. The WIHH gallery team assisted in the process, and the artwork was later selected by the municipal organization, Artevist, to be displayed throughout major (train, bus and metro) stations in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague and Utrecht. This was a historic moment, as it was the first time an NFT artwork was showcased in public space and the very first NFT project of Lama Tashi Norbu by using the web 3 technology.
The team behind the project is humbled and proud to be part of this groundbreaking project, as it has brought art and technology together in a new and unique way. Amsterdam has always been known as the art capital of Europe, and it is fitting that this project started here. The artwork spread the light of unity, reminding people that we are all one people bound in the laws of nature on our way to becoming transcendent. It served as a reminder that art can transcend beyond the boundaries of culture and religion, bringing people together.
The painting was created on August 11th, 2022, and was later burned 500 meters from the official Van Gogh house in New/Amsterdam on the new moon of August 27th, 2022, as a tribute to the old masters who carried the burning flame of creation over to us. The painting was digitally remastered and transformed into a captivating digital art piece by the gifted Bouba Doula and stored forever on the blockchain by the magic team of TinyNFT.
From the public display of the first three NFTs in major transportation stations to the burning and digital transformation of “I’m Not Christian,” this collection is a testament to the creativity, innovation, and artistry of Lama Tashi Norbu and his team. With a deep respect for the traditional Tibetan art principles and a passion for exploring new technologies and art forms, they have created a collection that is both beautiful and inspiring. We look forward to seeing what the future holds for the Full Moon collection and for the intersection of art and technology.
